Rooted in tradition, crafted with love: the tale of our Amayi stool.

In Chichewa, “Amayi” (pronounced “ah-MAH-yee”) means “mother” or “mothers”.

This special name is woven into the heart of our Amayi stool, which was inspired by a treasured family heirloom.

The story begins with my grandmother, who passed down a beautiful 3-legged milk stool to my mother. Years later, my mother shared this same stool with me, and its significance extended beyond its functionality. It represented the love, wisdom, and traditions passed down through generations of strong, nurturing women in my family.

Our Amayi stool is a tribute to this legacy, with its versatile design and meaningful name serving as a reminder of the importance of family, tradition, and the unwavering support of mothers everywhere.
